Fueled by passionate fiery vocals and provocative lyrics, Michelle Murlin's debut radio single 'Get Out Of My Heart' is rapidly climbing the charts and thrusting this multi-talented singer-songwriter into the limelight. Again.

Before her debut single hit the airwaves, Michelle Murlin was already an accomplished singer-songwriter with an extensive career in the entertainment industry. Michelle had performed on Broadway in such shows as ‘Cats,’ ‘Les Miserables’ and ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.’ She was lead vocalist with BMG recording artist, ‘Fem 2 Fem’ and has been performing a solo cabaret act on various cruise lines around the world for the past 18 years. Proving that was just a warm-up, Michelle is back with her fiery single ‘Get Out Of My Heart’, a song she wrote years ago about lost love. Drawn from intense personal experience, the song's commanding vocal style and message is resonating with global audiences. Reporter Brandon Scott recently caught up with Michelle to learn more about this talented artist and her plans for the future.

BRANDON: When did you first discover your love of music?
MICHELLE: At a very young age- around three or four years old.

BRANDON: What was the inspiration behind your debut radio single 'Get Out Of My Heart'?
MICHELLE: It was a song about me- a heartbreak years ago.

BRANDON: Would you say that the mood of your other songs is in the same vein as your debut radio single?
MICHELLE: Yes, all of my songs are about me and my life experiences.

BRANDON: How would you characterize yourself as a musician? (ex. Down-to-earth, serious, fun-loving...)
MICHELLE: Hard-working. Detail-oriented. Driven.

BRANDON: Did you come from a musical background?
MICHELLE: I trained in musical theater- I was on Broadway several times.

BRANDON: What do you find most rewarding about being a musician? What do you find most challenging?
MICHELLE: The most rewarding thing is doing what I love and getting to use my talent. The most challenging part is getting paid for it.

BRANDON: Who are your role models in music?
MICHELLE: Pat Benatar, Teena Marie, Linda Ronstadt, Madonna and Donna Summer.

BRANDON: Describe your best or most memorable performance.
MICHELLE: I was cast as a swing in ‘Cats.’ I understudied the lead- going on with less than ten minutes to prepare. Exciting!

BRANDON: What advice would you give to young, aspiring musicians out there who are unsure and need guidance?
MICHELLE: Never give up on your dreams.

BRANDON: What's next for you as an artist? Is there a new single in the works? If so, what can you tell us about it?
MICHELLE: I’m working on putting together a group, with me as the lead singer. It will be a different group than you are used to seeing perform live.
