LAUREN: Let's just get this out in the open- What is the craziest thing that has happened to you in your music career?
DONNY BUGGS: Performing for a medical doctor banquet and the floor had just been waxed. I came out on stage and slid right out on the floor with a split. The people thought it was part of the act.

LAUREN: Your song’People Talk’is receiving a positive listener response on radio. What was your initial reaction when you first heard your song playing on radio?
DONNY BUGGS: My 87 year old mother got a chance to hear my music on the radio and this made her happy, she is my biggest fan.

LAUREN: What was the inspiration behind your debut radio single?
DONNY BUGGS: When in a relationship you have to be honest, if not people will let you know, thus 'People Talk.' It will get around.

LAUREN: It is often said that great art arises from difficult experience. Is there something in your life experience thus far that you would describe as the ‘catalyst’ or ‘fuel’ for your desire to create music?
DONNY BUGGS: I've sent music and songs to record labels, but I have always been turned down even though it was stated the music 'sounds good.' I use those rejections to fuel my determination in hopes that one day I will get the opportunity to prove myself to the world.

LAUREN: How would you characterize yourself as an artist/musician? (Ex. Down-to-earth, serious, fun-loving, complicated…)
DONNY BUGGS: Fun-loving and down-to-earth.

LAUREN: What has your experience been like working with the other people on your team?
DONNY BUGGS: Great, I'm such a team player.

LAUREN: Did you come from a musical background? Are there other musicians in your family?
DONNY BUGGS: I come from a musical family - my brothers, sister, and mother are musical.

LAUREN: What do you find most rewarding about being an artist? What do you find most challenging?
DONNY BUGGS: Most rewarding is entertaining people. Most challenging is being creative and accepting of my creativity.

LAUREN: Who are your role models in music?
DONNY BUGGS: Smokey Robinson, Jackie Wilson, and James Brown

LAUREN: Describe your best or most memorable performance.
DONNY BUGGS: My most memorable performance was when I sang and opened up for The Temptations.

LAUREN: What advice would you give to young, aspiring artists out there who are unsure and need guidance?
DONNY BUGGS: Never let anyone tell you to give up on your dream.

LAUREN: What's next for you as an artist? Is there a new single in the works? If so, what can you tell us about it?
DONNY BUGGS: A song called 'Fading Love.' It is a song about missed opportunities in love, resulting in maybe missing out on the love of your life. It is also an opportunity to showcase my vocal versatility.

LAUREN: Looking forward to hearing it! Thank you for letting me get to know you a little better and best of luck with your new music.
